Valentines Day Card

Brown and pink color themed card was inspired by chocolates and candies, isn't that sweet?

This project uses Bittersweet paper collection from Basic Grey and in specific: Hand Dipped, Rocky Road, Peanut Butter and Crushed Berry, as shown below.

Materials

For the card

1 Basic Grey Crushed Berry pattern paper for the cardbase.

1 Basic Grey Peanut Butter pattern paper.

1 Basic Grey Rock Road pattern paper.

1 Basic Grey Hand Dipped pattern paper.

1 cream ribbon approximately 0.8cm wide.

Other tools,

Foam tape/Glue/Glue Dots.

Penny Black 2696FH sentiment stamp (shown below).

Versacolor Brown Pigment Ink.

Non stick craft scissors by EK Success Honey Bee (shown below).

This stamp is a 2003 production but still readily available in several online merchants. To do a quick search and price comparison, type "Penny Black 2696F Within Us" in the google search section and click "SEARCH".

Instructions

Cut out Crushed Berry cardstock 20cm X 15cm, score at 10cm mark and fold to make the card base.

Cut Hand Dipped pattern paper 13cm X 6cm. Paste on the card base.

Cut Crushed Berry pattern paper 5.5cm X 5.5cm and stamp Penny Black sentiment on it using Versacolor Brown Pigment ink. I didn't emboss so, I make sure the ink is dry thoroughly so that it will not smudge.

Cut out a heart using Crushed Berry pattern paper, layer over Peanut Butter pattern paper and trim, leaving a 0.1cm border round it.

Cut out suitable patterns from Rocky Road and decorate the heart.

Cut out Peanut Butter pattern paper 12.5cm X 5.5cm, layer cream ribbon at the bottom, tuck in both ends behind the pattern paper.

Layer Peanut Butter pattern paper over the Hand Dipped paper using foam tape, to give added dimension.

Cut a strip of paisley print from Rocky Road and paste it as shown on the picture to form a left border.

Paste sentiment tag and heart using foam tape.

Cut additional paisley print from Rocky Road, layer over the border, overlapping a little of the sentiment tag.
