Blue Hue Christmas

Dimension

Card measures 10cm X 15cm.

Materials

For the card

1 cream cardstock as the cardbase.

1 white cardstock.

1 brown cardstock.

1 pattern paper that has some visible space to stamp the sentiment.

Other tools,

Foam tape.

Glue.

Wordsworth V007 Carolers Set for sentiment "Merry Christmas" (shown below).

Quick-drying brown pigment ink.

Craft Sponge (shown below).

Non stick craft scissors by EK Success Honey Bee (shown below).

EK Success Honey Bee Craft scissors is the best non-stick scissors I have used. It provides a smooth cut in small places and it's precision in cutting means a smoother edge than normal scissors. This can be purchased from scrapbook stores or online at many merchants.

Instructions

Cut patten paper with dimension 9.5cm X 14.5cm.

Stamp sentiment "Merry Christmas" on pattern paper.

Layer pattern paper over brown cardstock leaving 0.1cm border around it. Trim off excess.

Further layer over another white cardstock leaving 0.1cm border round it. Trim off excess. By now, the dimension is approximate 9.9cm X 14.9cm.

Stamp the same sentiment "Merry Christmas" on remaining white cardstock.

Cut out a rectangular tag with the stamped sentiment and further cut into small strips.

Using alternate strips of the white cardstock bearing the stamped sentiment, edge the sides. Wet craft sponge with brown pigment ink and lightly dab over the strips.

Paste the strips by matching the position of the stamped sentiment on the pattern paper, using foam tape.

Cut cream cardstock 20cm by 15cm, score at 10cm mark and fold into half, to form a single fold card base.

Paste the whole design over the cream cardbase, using foam tape to give added dimension.
