My Craft Purchases

I mentioned about the 50% off for papercraft magazines sales in the last issue of my Newsletter. And here it is - my recent purchases from my favorite online stamping store has arrived!
I could not resist the 50% discount on MSE Paris Lower and Upper case Clear Alphabet Stamps and bought it as well. The alphabets looked great and I used it for a birthday card recently.

Instructions
Cut out approximately 7.5cm X 7.5cm white cardstock, stamp Penny Black Birthday Dog 2078H using Black Pigment ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder and set it dry using heat gun. See video on Basic stamping and embossing process.
Color image using a color source you are comfortable with. I normally use soluble crayons and paint brush as I find blending of colors is really easy. See video on coloring using soluble crayon.
Chalk the border of the image to give a misty look (optional).
Cut out pattern paper approximately 8cm X 10cm.
Cut out green cardstock approximately 8.4cm X 10.4cm.
Layer stamped image over patter paper.
Layer pattern paper over green cardstock, leaving a even border around it showing the green cardstock.
Layer blue ribbon over the pattern paper as shown in the photo above and tuck the ends of ribbon behind the green cardstock.
Position the prima flower on the spot you prefer and fasten it using a brad.
Stamp the sentiment "Happy Birthday" using Watermark ink and emboss with white embossing powder at the bottom right corner of the card base. Heat set the white embossing powder with heat gun.
Layer the whole design over the brown card base using foam tape for added dimension, making sure the positioning of the design does not overlap the birthday sentiment.
