Instructions
Cut out Basic Grey Windermere pattern paper, 5.5cm X 14.5cm.
Cut out matching lime green cardstock, 3cm X 14.5cm.
Cut out maroon cardstock, 14.7cm X 9.7cm.
Layer Windermere pattern paper and lime green cardstock over maroon cardstock side by side and leaving a small border of maroon cardstock visible, as shown.
Layer cream lace over, covering the joints of Windermere pattern paper and lime green cardstock. Tucking the ends of the lace behind the maroon cardstock.
Layer green ribbon over the cream lace and tuck the ends of the ribbon behind the maroon cardstock. You may fasten the ends behind with a tape to keep the lace in place.
Cut out a tag using green cardstock. I have used a oval tag for this project.
Stamp the sentiment "Happy Birthday" using MSE TT233 Postcard Sentiments using Versafine Crimson Red Pigment Ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder and set it dry using heat gun. See here for wet embossing technique.
Stamp a bouquet of flowers using MSE TT233 Postcard Sentiments with Versamark Watermark Stamping ink to get a transparent look.
Lightly sponge the green tag with Versafine Crimson Red at the edges using the craft sponge. Watch "Color Blending with Pigment Ink" from the Video Section.
Paste green tag over the maroon cardstock, leaving a small border of maroon cardstock visable around the sides. Trim the maroon cardstock accordingly using the Non stick craft scissors by EK Success Honey Bee (shown above).
Stamp a butterfly on maroon cardstock using Versamark Watermark Ink Pad, emboss using green glitter embossing powder. Set it dry using heat gun. Cut out the butterfly using the craft scissors. Paste butterfly over the green tag using glue dots. You may fold the wings upwards slightly to add more dimension.
Paste the tag (with butterfly attached) over the pattern paper using foam tape, to add dimension.
Paste the overall design over the pink cardstock leaving a small border around it.
For more blending of colors using pigment ink, you may also search "Color Blending with Pigment Ink" at the search box below and click "SEARCH".
