Cards for Friends

This is an example on how you can use a little trick to add dimension to your card by triming part of the pattern paper and tucking paper underneath it. The effect is usually very pretty except that trimming the pattern paper needs alot of practice and skill.

Fun Cards

Dimension

Card measures 10cm X 14cm.

Materials

1 set of green card and matching envelope.

1 pattern paper, with prominent image that can be trimmed out to add dimension to your card.

1 white cardstock for stamping sentiment.

1 pink cardstock.

1 dark pink ribbon, approximately 0.8cm thick.

Other tools,

Foam tape, glue dots and glue.

1 flower eyelet to fasten the sentiment tag (require eyelet setting tool).

Hero Arts C3075 Life is Fun Woodmounted Stamp (Discountinued).

Versamark Lime Pigment Ink.

Versamark Orchid Pigment Ink.

Clear embossing powder.

Heat Gun.

Craft knife and scissors.

This Hero Arts 2006 sentiment stamp is discountinued. Very limited in supplies even at popular stores. There are other similar sentiment from Penny Black that says "everything's more fun with friends!". Instructions

Cut out a tag for stamping the sentiment.

Stamp Hero Arts C3847 with Versacolor Lime and Orchid Pigment Ink, emboss with heat gun. Set aside.

Layer over dark pink cardstock.

Place sentiment tag on pattern paper, laying over part of the pattern paper design and trace the outline of the tag.

Trim the pattern paper design carefullyusing craft knife, place the sentiment tag nicely below the trimmed pattern paper design.

Fasten sentiment tag securely using the eyelet. I have used a green flower eyelet for this project.

Going through the eyelet, tie the ribbon and make a bow at the side.

Mat over a dark pink cardstock, using foam tape.

Layer overall design over the card base with foam tape.
