Starry Starry Hedgehog Christmas


Dimension

Card measures 10cm X 15cm.

Materials

This card features and use many different random stamps that is bought off the shelf which doesn't really carry any particular brand. This piece gives an idea that it is possible to incorporate different stamps to give a unique image altogether.

For the card
  • 1 green cardstock as the cardbase.
  • 1 red cardstock.
  • 1 white cardstock.
  • Other tools,
  • Foam tape.
  • Glue.
  • Heat Gun
  • Penny Black 2990K "Catching the Star" woodmounted stamp (shown below).
  • Versacolor Black Pigment Ink for hedgehog, stars and sparkles.
  • Versacolor Camellia Pigment Ink for words.
  • Versacolor Lime Pigment Ink as shadow ink.
  • Clear embossing powder.
  • 4 red eyelets with use of eyelet setting tool.
  • 3 different set of alphabets stamps used in this piece (optional).
  • Stars and sparkle stamps (optional).
  • Soluble Crayons or any other color mediums you are comfortable with.


  • Penny Black 2990K


    This is quite an old Penny Black rubber stamp. To find merchants still carrying and selling this, just type "Penny Black 2990K" in the search box below.

    Instructions

  • Cut white cardstock with dimension 8cm X 10cm.
  • Stamp one of the hedgehog from Penny Black Catching the Star using black pigment ink, emboss and handpaint it.
  • Stamp a rectangular shadow (optional) using lime pigment ink and stamp sentiments "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" using camellia pigment ink and emboss.
  • Stamp stars and sparkle using black pigment ink, emboss and handpaint it.
  • Layer white cardstock over red cardstock, leaving 0.1cm border around it and set it using eyelets at four corners. Trim off excess red cardstock.
  • Cut green cardstock into 20cm X 15cm, score at 10cm mark, fold into half to make a single fold card.
  • Paste the whole design over green card base using foam tape for added dimension.
