Its All About Cards And Tags (Leisure Arts #3623) The Joy of Card Making

Basic Card Making

Cardmaking doesn't have to be complicated. The most basic is to have paper, scissors and glue.

If you have some extra cash to spare, invest in craft scissors and punches will give your handmade card some added features. Other readily available materials to let your card have a "professionally-made" look include markers, glitter pens, stickers (3-dimensional ones will be great!) and nice pattern papers.
Basic cardmaking materials If you run out of time to shop for the basic materials, cardkits are a great way to begin at low cost and great convenience as all the necessary materials are available in the kit.

Below is a card made by one of my customers, using materials from cardkits. It really made my day as I know someone put in some thought and personalise a special card just for me.

I really loved the embossed flower with glitter and even the 3-D butterfly that came with a "gem" on it. Add your own personal message with markers and there you go - A personalised card is made!

Here is another example on how just what a few pieces of paper and a ribbon is able to produce. In this project, I have handstamped the sentiments on a plain white tag, but for basic cardmakers, simply type your own message/sentiment and have them printed in the font and color you fancy. Cut it out and you have very own sentiment tag.

I have a scalloped square tag to help me cut out the tag, but if you don't, it doesn't have to be scalloped, just normal tag will do. For circle, simply find a round object, trace and cut it out.

For a great variety of free fonts, or even have your own handwriting "font", this is a great place to get them! Just click on the link below to view the available fonts for download. There are seasonal FREEBIES FONTS that have limited copies for download which I will notify subscribers through my newsletter.
